Hey Ray, I haven't been posting much lately but I HAVE been keeping up with this thread and since the beginning have really enjoyed it.
We have quite a lot in common!
1. I fell out of my garage attic a few years ago and broke some ribs on the work bench on the way down to the concrete. Hurt like hell and slow to heal!
I hope your ribs are better now.
2. We both did a ground-up custom build (although mine was done almost 20 yrs after yours. Do you think you will ever do another (maybe you have done more than one)?
3. We both grew up on farms (I raised 100 tons of pinto beans one yr in CO). Farmed 500 acres of row crops and put up 3000 acres of alfalfa (had a custom hay business on the side).
4. We were both fans of MTV in the late 80,s.
5. We both grew up with and like hunting and fishing!
6. And we both like bikes and road trips. (Speaking of which, how come you are not coming through or near my town on your long trip you have planned - I'm bummed about that).
Anyway, really enjoying your life story and the pics. I know I have a bunch of old ones of my life but not even sure of where they are right now.
Here is one old one of me next to my now passed on uncle's harley in the early 50's (God I'm old! and don't laugh!). He used to take me everywhere on this bike and undoubtably instilled some of my love of bikes today.
