is there a trick to following these diagrams - as soon as I see that I just think no way! presumably it is not as difficult as I think it is?

For me it has always worked best not to look at it all at once. Take the part of it that you need, one line or item at a time, and trace it out. If I try to look at it all at once I get lost in it.

RX - Thank you so much for this. I was hoping to get my hands on some of this info and a shop manual at some point. Great stuff.

Good advice!

And to take it a step further...

Print out the schematic in black and white then take highlighters of different colors to trace out only the circuit your interested in. That way all your looking at is what is important to your troubleshooting at the time.

I've used highlighters on schematics of everything from office equipment to aircraft electronics and works like a champ!! :2thumbs:

Put it on a thumb drive and take it to work and print it out on a plotter if you have one or know someone that does. It can cover half the wall then if you want it to and it is really easy to follow the lines...:D
Kinko's may have a plotter too...

in the original wire diagramm is a mistake.
Cable A29 is double, only the black A29-cable is right , the grey cable must be a A21.

My next project in the next few days is the change from EHC to m-unit without cutting the wires but with use connectors.
