02 pit gas caps

Just to verify, I need gas caps for a 82+ Harley split tanks correct? Ready to ride this pig since my rebuild.

Go to Landmark Renegade gas cap. I got my new one in from them last week, works great!

It's not JBWeld. It's a pudgy that sometimes makes them hard to get out. Just be careful if you do take it out.

You purchase them as a set of they are sometimes listed seperately.

I bought my 2001 Husky in Oct. of 2000, and since day one I have had an issue removing the left hand gas cap. Bought new ones and still whenever I tighten it down barely, I can't get it off. Have to take a big set of water pump pliers to get it off

The problem is ethanol in gasoline. It causes the threads to swell. I had the same problem. Read that the new Landmark threads don't swell. Bought a new set of Landmark gas caps which worked well for about a year and then had the same problem. Then I saw that BB Chopper (on this site) was making metal replacement threads. Bought a pair and they work great!

I took out my tank saver and ordered nice Harley replacement and no plastic so when they come I should be good

i have 05 mastiff can't get gas cap on the non vented side off, i use water pump pliers but the top part of the chrome cap turns but not rest of it. any help would be great?

Same thing with my 2000 Bull Dog, left gas cap had to be broken to get it off

Left side has reverse threads, so lefty is tighty and righty is loosey Just saying...

I used big set of channel locks with a rag and came out great
