Well let me tell you a little story that might brighten your day:oldbang::oldrant:oh boy, here we go, you know I have this starter bang and my starter gear is all chewed up, well I ordered the wrong part thru a misunderstanding and got the clutch basket assembly without the starter gear, fukin great, I sent it back and ordered the starter gear and today taking it apart I feel a detent in the fukin clutch basket carrier bearing
So now I have to call them and order the damn part I just sent back:willynilly::oldbang: This is enough to make a sober man start drinking again
So if you think Franco, your the only one that has problems, get the hell in line, put on you big boy panties
and throw something on the grill, I'm hungry.

Sorry for the rant and the high jack, but tell someone who cares
and after all this, when Sue finds out how much I spent, I'm gonna have to get a job at Home Depot

You said you couldn't get the starter gear alone I thought? Haha.

Buy a bandit and keep the starter gear?

That's what I thought , but when I talked to them it was $320 for the starter gear or $395 for the whole ass'y. So for the little difference why not get the whole ass'y, right, WRONG, the clutch ass'y is the carrieir and inner gears and the starter gear and sprocket teeth are 1 piece. They bolt together

So it's $395 for the assembly and another $320 for just the gear? Am I understanding that right?

I got your video just haven't had time to play with it again. But my movement looked similiar to your video still don't know how you measured the jackshaft movement.

Yes, the measurement was a guesstamate from years of being a retarded design engineer, I guess since its out now I could use a dial indicator, if I had one:rofl:

I believe I first said the movement was .040-.060, well I measured it and my guesstamate was pretty close, it had .036 movement on the starter gear up n down, not good

View attachment 28240 want to thank Blacktopper for getting the pit bull handlebar swap off the ground. Went for a short ride this afternoon and really like the pullback with the new setup.
I'm glad you like it. The credit equally goes to Skogdog who helped with swap and actually wrote the post for me( I did hit the post button) and Derek and Donna who were sooo good to work with. Prior to shipping, they actually mounted several different bars on a rolling chassis and sent me pictures of them to help me decide on the best set up. Everything I have done with them has turned out very good for me. We should be thankful we have them. I also had the same handle bars installed on my new K9 that I think will take delivery on next week.
