I am currently searching the forums for the best way to polish the fins. I have a dremel but I need to buy a felt bob kit.Are you planning to use a Dremel on the fins?
I use a paint stir stick with a microfibre wrapped around it to apply the billet polish, then cotton rag to wipe off, as told to do by dentdude.. I have tried a few attachments with my Dremmel but the felt gets wrapped up in the diamond cut. The fins are trial and error, find something thin but not sharp to wrap your microfibre or rag around, and be patient, it's fuckin tedious...I am currently searching the forums for the best way to polish the fins. I'm gonna be putting mine on the lift for awhile , have a few things that need to be addressed with it.I use a paint stir stick with a microfibre wrapped around it to apply the billet polish, then cotton rag to wipe off, as told to do by dentdude.. Actually that's exactly what S&S is doing now. The engines are no longer polished inside the fins except for the head. They just have the natural finish now inside, with a polished outside.I realized dull aluminum on fins is on fashion! I just polish the edges...
I bloody told you! I'm Fashion guru tooActually that's exactly what S&S is doing now. The engines are no longer polished inside the fins except for the head. They just have the natural finish now inside, with a polished outside.
Well at least that's how the new 124 are. Seen a couple all the same.

After 3700 miles and hit some rain and sandstorms there isn't an inch of my bike that resembles anything close to polished.I bloody told you! I'm Fashion guru too
I was thinking of that earlier... sandblasting your bike is not the most desired optionAfter 3700 miles and hit some rain and sandstorms there isn't an inch of my bike that resembles anything close to polished.
I bought some S100 I'm going to spray on and this is going to a hose treatment. There's sand everywhere and I can't just wipe it off it will scratch the hell out of everything.

DefinitelyLooks like you have a lot to do
Yep it will be a long weekend...i might be done cleaning it by June meeting..lolLooks like you have a lot to do
No way! I'm scared of the thought of taking sand paper to it!Go over fins with 3000 wet/dry paper then compound last billet polish simple
No I don't think so...most of my bike is polished anyways. I was more worried about the paint on the gas tank getting chipped...im good there too!Did the sand pit or scratch the chrome?
Can't see real good, and phone screen is small.
Have you been polishing?...
