WTF? Why would he chase you down for that? Are you saying he was behind you with his lights on and you just kept going? If so I can see why he was a little wound up over the situation, still it seems just a bit extreme, these cops deal with a lot of bullshit all day long, I can't imagine how I would react in a situation like that, glad you stayed calm and other than a few bruises you are ok and nothing really bad happened.
Very sad...
buy you were LUCKY! :oldread:

In OC California you would have been tazed, beaten silly, tag team beaten by Sheriffs, Police and CHP with billy clubs for: attitude, failing to yield to an Officer, attempted resisting arrest due to your " Suspicious behavior" giving them "probable cause". :oldswear:

I know -- They go out of their way to provoke you! -- had that with a Federal Officer on Native American land -- no respect for sovereign nation... :patriot:

You can never win with a cop, they are god and you are the devil. :oldangry:

** On the other hand if you were a chick you would have got a phone number, date and free dinner and future pardon on next infraction. I know from my cuzzy, she knows how to work 'em. :sex:

I passed an unmarked LEO on a double yellow line and was going twice the speed limit pulling away from him until he turned the lights on in the grill. When he came up to my window and I handed him my cards, it was yes sir, no sir and after some small talk I started to laugh and told him I thought he was an ol lady on her phone, he said its not like that car can't do what ya did, chuckled, and gave me the cards back and said have a nice holiday. Thanks, you to officer

Its all in the persons attitude and I think when you blew the horn, he viewed that as aggression, I ain't saying that what happened was right, but we're only hearing one side of the story. I would never blow the horn at a cop even if he was standing in the middle of the road, I would stop and throw the 4 ways on until he moved.

Sorry Nuke, I'm just viewing it from a different seat.

I don't think I've ever used my horn before but I did it and now I'll pay for it.

You're right that he does have his side of the story which I can't wait to hear since it ended with me fleeing 3/16th of a mile, road shutdown with 5 cop cars present which I discovered from a neighbor, guns drawn and pointed at my chest by at least 3 officers when told to exit my truck, and being arrested and booked in the jail house for 5 hours (3 hours for the arresting officer to figure out how to document/submit the charges). It makes me wonder if calm resident wasn't in my position, if he would be alive today!
