Just bought my first bike 04 Ridgeback.. I have had several people look at the engine but can't confirm the size? No markers saying what it is. And searching the serial number hasn't gave me any luck either! Any help would be appreciated as I'm new to the big dog world! And I know everyone hates the RevTech engine no shit talking necessary thanks

If it’s a RevTech, it isn’t stock. Look for a serial number, contact the manufacturer and see if they have any info on the serial number. Stock should be a S&S 117, I believe.

Look on the foot shift side, bottom of front jug on motor take a pic, if it’s a S&S it will say like Supersidewinder which is the 107

Had a chance to buy a RT145 for $3K had 120 miles on it. Hind site being 20/20 I can kick my ass for not buying it

I believe it's 100 cubic inch motor.. it's not black or polished just the natural aluminum. 3 piece covers?

There is a big dog for sale here that has a revtec in it.. guy says he has had it forever because no one wants a dog on hospice.. lol.. and that' what happened to this bike, he blew the engine and was looking at almost 4k to rebuild it and a new revtec was only like 3200 bucks

Haha I've never been apart of a forum before wasn't aware of the intro section. Thanks for the responses.. I understand about everyone wishing it was an S&S.. but I also scored the bike for a grand. I'll take it all day and enjoy my first road bike

There is nothing wrong with a RevTech, even less at that price. That’s a screaming deal.

There's a lot wrong with revtech google it
What I have seen said there were issues with early models, but most were taken care of. There are more wear and maintenance issues, but that’s the hidden price for cheap. It’s not balanced nearly as well, so it will vibrate more and cause more shit to loosen up. They aren’t bad, you just get what you pay for.
