i have had the bike up on the stand for a lil over a month. I put new leds Dakota digital speedo and pipes while it’s been sitting. I finished it all last night. Started it up and noticed it instantly when I turned the key on I was gonna have a new problem. The headlight didn’t turn on. I have all other lights and it runs fine. But no power at the plug. I didn’t touch the headlight other than loosening it to run my lights. I’ve searched a ton of phrases and can’t think of any other way to search. I do think I remember seeing something someone wrote with similar issues with unplugging the battery or it dying. The gauge lights up and the high beam light dimly flashes. What do I look at next?

Started and runs just fine. Breaklights signals all work. Tried to go as simple as a test light to the harness and nothing is hot.
I'd take the daymaker out and check your ground. Sometimes people grounded them to the bucket or cut and splice happened and it now is coming apart?

Obviously gotta find out where your short is if you don't have +12v to the headlight.

They’re wired to the battery directly. I was able to finish the leds and speedo and the headlight was working. Then it sat for a week or so without the tender in it. And after that it was sitting a couple weeks.

That's good that the LED's are wired direct to the battery, maybe you want to have the battery load tested if ya already tried the old headlight bulb.

Yeah, as dent said, I'm on my third daymaker.. some have lots of luck and others dont. But i wouldnt trust a test light, i would use a meter and wre what u got and if nothing still, might have yanked a wire from under the tank on one of them flemsy ass jst connectors.. if u got no power at the harness to the bulb, ur gonna have to yank the tank and go there next.. it' next in line.

I pulled the led and put the stock headlight back in and nothing. I checked and also noticed the alarm won’t arm or disarm. It chirps when I pull it from the battery. I took it out completely and still nothing. I ordered a few thing I needed like the rubber height adjust for the tank. So it came in and I’m waiting till I get a few min to pull the tank and check the wiring. And am lost if that doesn’t do anything. The only electrical thing I’ve done since I parked it was the speedo. But I don’t know

So I pulled the tank up didn’t find anything that looked messed up I followed the wires from the headlight and found they go into the coil pack and I tested them there with the test light and all three Lugs showed light ground with the key on and off and there’s a ground bus below it as well. Anybody want to do an experiment on theirs and see if it comes up grounded as well?
