RIP 2 does not change the backbone harness but Axel’s has the easiest setup. Plug and play on the EHC module only.

Oh I thought it did, thanks for clarifying.
My 40A fuse upgrade was like 8 bucks..The recalls we have mentioned are very inexpensive to fix. $33 for the side cover pin recall kit and like $40ish for the voltage regulator fuse. So if they haven't been done on the bike, it's not that deep, it just might give you some negotiating ammunition

The RIP gen 1 requires changing the backbone harness 2 does not. Hope the k9 works out for you but don’t rush it. Get the one that you like, I drove from Florida to IN to pick up my dog, 36hr round trip.

That makes sense. I was watching a YouTube video showing the harness replacement, obviously it was for the gen 1.
I was looking at a couple in Texas on cycletrader and one I really liked, but the price is to high for a 2006. The one I’m going to look at Saturday is one I’ve had my eye on all summer and is only 95 miles away. It's a good price for a 2008 and it’s had some mods done to the motor.

Nice savings. Mind posting up how you did that? The recall kit from Derek and Donna is about $48 after shipping so you could save guys quite a bit of moolah!

It’s a super sweet dog, chromed to the max and very well taken care of. He also has done a lot of work to the motor, clutch and new carb.

I wasn’t prepared to buy it, I just wanted to lay eyes on it and talk to the guy about what all he has done to it. I have to get a loan to cover what I don’t have in the bank which is no problem, I’ve already touched base with them. I also have to figure how I’m picking it up this time of year, we have over 2 feet of snow and it just keeps coming down.
