New EHC Issue

My EHC died on my 04 Chopper a week ago so I went to the dealer and they set me up with Big Dogs supposed "new and improved" unit which I installed yesterday. The unit came with directions which I followed very closely but when I turned the key "on" and expected to see my bike come back to life I was sadly disappointed. The headlight was the only thing that came on, the tail light, license plate light, and speedo showed no life. I was relieved that the bike fires up and runs fine and the front turn signals also work. The power up indicator on the EHC blinks quickly whenever the key is on and the ignition light comes on also on the EHC when the bike is running. Can someone out there please send me in the right direction to getting my bike up and runing completely? Thanks.

How charged is your battery. You may need to have it checked out and tested under load.

All of the items that did not come on are on your power up circuit, this tell me you have a short somewhere in this circuit. Start inspecting all your wires and connectors.

anyway i tell you its great to have someone on here that totally understands this electrical nightmare some suffer through with their bikes...jakes another one ..i read his posts the other day about rewiring and pictured myself being so frustrated attempting to understand the logistics of the electrical system...good luck with your problem jon....looks like you are in great hands....

Safe to assume the bike never sold in august 2008 , which new and improved kit was installed pdm or rip gen 1? Did you find the problem?
Dent,
It must be winter in ny lol... allot of the old post were hit and runs. Guys jumping on with problems asking for help and never following up with the solutions.
