BDM Sissy Bar Bags

Unsprung

In the Potters hand...
I used to have a connect there and got mine from them, as well as my sissy bar pad and p pad.. a lot of people don't even know they sell used big dog stuff.. I paid 80 for my luggage rack and 60 for my p pad and the same for my sissy bar pad..
Not a bad price for the used rack with scratches. Still thinking about it though, I can always place my bag on the ppad since my wife rides her own. Still, it’s on my watch list and may pull the plug this week.

Haven't seen it, but I ended up repainting my whole fender from doing that.. if u had a line-up seat it would be ideal, but I wouldn' do it with a p pad..

These are the pics. I don't have an awesome paint job like urs, so I think I'd wait it out til u get the luggage rack Brother..

Basically I was about 4 hours away from home, forecast didn't call for a bit of rain when I left on friday.. on the way home Sunday, I got caught in the rain 10 minutes into my trip and it didn't stop until I was about 20 minutes from home..

All that damage from a Ppad? In that case, I’m going to apply 3m clear like Ker did.
The p pad even with brand new suction cups will leave a faint Mark, this was caused by highway grime getting caught under the suction cups while raining.. but as far as that 3m clear strip, had that too and it turned yellow after about 6 months and had to repaint the fender yet again.. but I do a ton of riding so Idk what it situation is broham, but just a heads up on that as well.. and u gotta remember, Ker may put 50 miles on his dog a year if he is lucky.. so that garage art ain't Gunna wear, his California Duster wears faster then anything on that bike.. ;)

It's fine.. Everytime you put the ppad on just clean the cups.

I don't know where kel did that thinking he was in a mess. I've ridden in rain and halfway across the country and they do leave light scratches sometimes but it buffs out. I also recommend before sticking the pad on wax the fender for protection.

The 3m caused an issue with the paint? Ker didn’t mention that, lol. I don’t ride with a passenger often so Ppad is an occasional thing, I will however wait on the luggage rack like you suggested. Don’t ride as much but planning on changing that since I went from a rigid to a softail.

Congrats on your progress Eric. Good info on the buffing and wax, I will do that. Thanks

Ker is coming up on 20K on his bike and I don't have scratches on my fender, 95% of all my riding is done 2 up. Clean fender and clean suction cups are key to keeping the scratches away. And I have been in the rain 2 up many times with the bike. I don't know what type of clear bra your buying, but I have had it on my cars for years and it hasn't yellowed. I never had it screw up the paint taking it off.
And Ker obviously dont read along with Eric, yall r killin me, the two up seat d nt really mess with the paint like a p pad will for Eric and this convo was about putting a damn bag on ur p pad not a person Ker... geez.. I have never had an issue with a person on my p pad, just the one issue with putting a bag on my p pad.. ya up to par now guys??:);)

That's because it never was an issue:old2:
It's not an issue if ur bike spends its life in a garage.. my bike is ridden all the time and unfortunately sits outside for about 10+ hours a day when im at work.. which caused an issue... again, not reading.. I would say ya dont listen... lol

I've had the 3M tape on mine for 4 years now, Not yellow and no scratches from my two-up seat. Ussually run the single seat.

The 2up seat don' seem to leave much of a mark as the p pad will.. but again, my bike sits for 10 to 12 hours a day in the sun when I ride to work..

I've had the 2 up seat on mine for 7 years now without 3M on the fender and its not scratched, And I believe with almost 20K on the bike that its more mileage than you have on yours so I don't think it sat in the garage all the time.

No I read it, and like I said it did not leave any marks on the fender, even riding with the pillion on it for 3 years and we have been caught I the rain. I still have OEM cups, clean cups, clean fender is key. 50 miles a year is also inaccurate. Even to this day if I put the pillion pad on and sit on it to set the cups, I can't pull or slide the pad off without getting a finger nail under the cup to release it.
