Big Dog "EHC R.I.P" Signal Cancel function

Can anyone tell me how the signal cancel function works on the R.I.P. EHC? Does it cancel based on the speed of the motorcycle? For example above 20MPH it will shut off. Is it a timer function that stops after 20 blinks? Or does it cancel after traveling X number of feet? Lastly, does the blinker stay on with brakes applied?

1. Cancel based on speed?
2. Cancel after x number of blinks?
3. Cancel after x number of feet traveled?
4. Stay on with brakes applied?

I tried emailing and calling BigDog, but no response.

I believe it's 10 flashes and I would say yes it still blinks with brakes on. Otherwise you would be getting pulled over if your on a slight hill and turning and a cop was behind you.

Its counting teeth from the speed sensor

Get ready for the right answer:)
Im pretty sure ours is a Hall Effect Sensor

Hall Effect Gear Tooth sensors provide digital pulses as gear teeth pass by that when paired with a counter can be used to track a rotational or linear position.

I have a rip -

Yes still flashes with Brakes applied.
Flashes when stopped does not cancel (IE stopped at stop light).
Hazards also work
I have not figured out the "how long" It just turns off. I know that I will hit the signal then have to hit it again because I hit it too soon. I think it is a timer. You can send an email or call ThunderHeart. They make the micro controller. They can tell you.

I just do it manually. Too much risk that someone making a left or right hand turn after you come out of your turn will pull out and want to meet through their drivers side window.

I have in my EHC´s the possibility to set the number of flashes permanent, 20 times or 40 times. For my own opinion are 40 flashes fine until canceling but this is my personal taste.

All the best and have a nice weekend!
