New Battery but Bike Wont Turn on!!!

Any help would be appreciated. I am at a loss.
I have a 2005 big dog chopper. She killed a battery so I replaced, then replaced starter. When I started with this mess the dash would cycle “on” when I hit the run button. It just wouldn't start and killed batteries really quick trying to start. Now it won’t even cycle on. I assumed ignition module so I replaced that but nothing changed.

So; new battery, new starter, new ignition module but no start. (See Pic) These 3 lights on the module under the seat light up (but in the beginning when it was still cycling on I seem to remember a red light???) and the headlight and dash lights come on when I turn the key but literally no other activity. It won’t even try to turnover or cycle the dash when I hit the run button. No horn, no blinkers, no decompression clicks, no nothing. Any help will be much appreciated.

No lights on the new ignition module.

I know you guys know these bikes upside down and sideways....

Check to make sure the wire is connected tight from the ignition module to the starter. If it is loose it will not turn the starter over.

After that I would start looking for a short in the wires and start with the hand control switches. The issue could be the control switch boards if you read through all the post on here tons of issues with those.

Good luck start there and post what you find

Thanks, I cleaned the hand control boards and didn't see any visible issues. They seem to click well etc... If I short the red and black wire going to the hand control will it bypass the run button? That would tell me if my hand control board was bad right???

do you guys have any idea what these diagnostic lights on the board under the seat are for? Theres 3 green ones on and appears to be 3 that are off.... The lights on the ignition module are off and i think when it was turning over they were on.

I also think possibly one of the other 3 lights on the board with the 3 green lights I have on used to come on when I hit the run button but I really can't say that for sure

I might be making this harder than it needs to be..... When I turn the key on with a full battery the dash lights up and shows mileage but doesn't cycle on, the horn, blinkers, and run button seem to all be inop

Yes, I had the right PC board go bad on me, you can either bypass it or use the left PC board in it's place, the buttons will be screwed up but it will still work, either way it will tell ya if it's bad, also you can just bypass ignition all together, but if ya do be sure to unplug the green wire to your starter so you don't burn up your EHC.

Yes, I had the right PC board go bad on me, you can either bypass it or use the left PC board in it's place, the buttons will be screwed up but it will still work, either way it will tell ya if it's bad, also you can just bypass ignition all together, but if ya do be sure to unplug the green wire to your starter so you don't burn up your EHC.

What exactly is an ehc? I fear I burned something up when the battery was bad and the second battery went dead and I tried jump starting it (before I read in these forums that thats a bad idea)

I bought a new part called "ignition module" featured in second pic. replacing this part made no change

Ok, well you may have burned up your EHC, "Electronic Harness Controller" The "EHC" has been one of Big Dog's downfalls, most of us have replaced it with a upgraded unit, there are a few options but the quickest and easiest is Axel's unit, you can get one from Curtis "Wild Steed Worx" who is a vendor on this forum.

Just because they click well doesn’t mean they are good.
Couple things to check on the board, the pins that the wire connects into,
Check to see if the wire that is moulded to the board is intact, known issue. Also there is a tiny set screw that holds the brake wire, check to see if the brake wire is tightly seated.
You will need a multi meter to check the boards.
There is a way to check the starter with a jumper wire from the battery.

Gents it’s to easy to jump to the ehc, we all know it has its issues but 9/10 times it’s something else causing the issue.

I hear ya Paul, I told him to check by bypassing the ignition first, he can do what ever he wants, but in my experience it sure sounds like the EHC took a crap on him.

Don't panic, & as Paul stated above ck yur circuit board for functionability as it energizes most items when 'Run' button is pressed - 'Start' button, etc. Also it energizes yur EHC, which energizes yur igniition module. Ck all before buyin more parts.

This is very helpful. I suspect my ehc but will test control board with meter first. Im guessing when you push the botton you are just grounding each option?

RE the aftermarket ehc: I bought my bike used and my connectors don't look like the ones on wildsteedworx site. How do I know if I already have aftermarket parts? The factory ignition controller did have same connectors as my big and plugger right in but the only other computer type box I have looks to be a small black box with an inoperable light on it and the plugs are more square and are watertight style connectors
