If he has done 2 seats for you, can you answer my question and give me a ballpark preice what it costs?

I mean is that asking to much?

if its 500 bucks I will buy a used seat off ebay and not worry about it. if its 100-200 then I will consider.

I traded out work for my seat, but it was in the $700 range. He wasn't your average bike seat guy though. He does high end auto interiors.

Big D,

I love the snakeskin. Python ? I have not seen many of them, and wondered if its because its too thin for this type of use.

How long have you had it ?

Any regrets ?
Thanks Brent...its not natural snakeskin, its genuine imitation...lol.... The seat is about 8 yrs old.

If you want a really badass custom seat (also does pillions and backrests) contact James Carter (Bitchin Stitchin) in Cave Spgs, Arkansas.

That’s not bad at all
I didn't think so...they do nice work and they are fast. You just call and schedule your seat, send it to them and they turn it around in a couple of days. That seat I had done is so comfortable, I can sit on it for 700+ miles in a day with no discomfort at all...it is amazing :chopper: Prices might be a little higher these days, that seat was done about 4 years ago. Still should be reasonable tho.

Thanks so much for the input !! Mean City Cycles looks amazing. I'm actually about 1/2 way through my seat project with a local shop. MCC looks way more experienced (of course) and cheaper.

I know real hides will be more problematic, but I still want to do it. I was worried that snakeskin would not be rugged enough for this. Alligator is what I want. I've seen Caiman skins that are reasonably priced, but not 100% sure if it's feasible since they're much stiffer and bonier than alligator. But I was surprised that the skin I got was much smoother than expected. I've seen pictures of gator scales that look like dinosaurs on seats. How on earth anybody could even sit on it, much less ride it, is beyond me........

I'll check out MCC and hope they're working today.

Thanks again.
