you should be able to jog over to the center for therapy if you are that close. just watch out for telephone poles coming up on the right side, they might hurt. but then again, it might knock that right eye back into submission. good luck monday with getting that steel removed. start on a bottle of Jack tomorrow and you shouldn't feel a thing when they remove it.

Haha appointment is at 915AM. I ride by ambulance now they have an 8 AM arrival time. I've always loved Coors Lights but I can tell you I haven't had any interest in drinking yet. I got a feeling that will be taking a back seat until I'm comfortable and confident with my recovery

Tomorrow morning is my big appointment I'm hopeful this damn thing is gone so I can start rehab and try walking again. I know I'll be a long way away from getting back to my normal life but I won't except anything but a full recovery!

Well everyone I still have the hardware. All my pelvis is right where it should be and it looks great the surgeon said. I found out this is normally a 10-12 week process. He is worried about tendons apparently they take longer to heal and he can't see them with an X-ray. I just learned you can't do an MRI with metal so your just damn Stuck. If the tendons aren't healed he told me I might end up with 8 more weeks or a shorter leg.

Considering I've beaten all the timeframes and recovery, probably due to my young age and good health and workout programming I asked what's the soonest date so he's willing to pull it out in 9 weeks. So I'm still stick till February 5th now. Although he said I can sit in a wheelchair now but I still can't put weight on my legs so I'm gonna have to be moved in and out of the chair. I also feel these pins in me so I don't know if I'll be comfortable in a chair have to try it. I'm hoping so I can at least move around.

To say I'm dissapointed with this timeframe is an understatement. I'm too young for this shit and all because a lady hit me due to her lack of paying attention. She took full blame for the accident but that doesn't help me get back to my life could be years for me to fully recover and get back into a good physical shape.

That's tough news to get brother. Part of me wants to say something positive and uplifting, but I think this time I will acknowledge how disappointed you are and share in your disappointment. It's one more small bump in the road, but certainly not the end of it (sorry I can't not say something positive lol).

That really sucks. I was sick for 4 days and was about to jump out of my skin. Sitting in a bed is no fun. These days docs are so worried about lawsuits they are over conservative.

One small set back is no reason for the downer attitude. Keep up the positive thoughts, and set your goals. Your doing just fine. It just so happens that Feb 5th is my Birthday, so my birthday wish is for you to loose the hardware. Still Praying for you, your in good hands.

I'm so sorry. I know that is very disappointing. I think everyone is 'too young for that shit' but you are going to come out a better person. You are definitely learning the patience of Job. I'd rather the doctors be conservative than be the opposite. I've known too many guys that felt the doctors were too conservative, got back on their bikes too soon, only to have to redo the work that was already put in.

I shared a beautiful video on facebook today of a gentleman in his 90s who was bedridden with terminal cancer and has knitted with a loom over 8000 caps to donate to the homeless. Sometimes it helps to put focus elsewhere when you are stuck with little else to focus on.

I can only imagine that this all feels like an eternity but you will look back and realize that it's just a drop in the bucket.

Keep on healing. God's got this

    Hugs!

Thanks you two I know in the end it's gonna be a drop in the bucket and I've come to realize it's gonna take me 1-2 years to return to a similar physical shape I used to be in. Nothing like redoing everything all over again...lol

Sucks to hear that Eric. But like so many have said, hang in there and get it healed right the first time. You don't want stuff lingering later.
