I have 05 ridgeback the original owner took off bars said they won’t work since he had bike rewired to harley

Yes 2004 and up are 1.25 inch bars. Harley switches are for 1 inch bars.

Are 2003 have same appearance as newer ones

You can buy many after market bars that will work with Harley controls. Pick a set that you like.

Blacktopper and I changed over his K9 to Pitbull handlebars. The difference was just over 3" additional pullback. You could search Blacktoppers thread on that topic (handlebar conversion) and find the list of parts available from Derek/Donna, and procedural description of the project.
I'm not sure about the additional setback on a R'back...Roger remembers everything, so maybe you should pm him to see if he can tell you how much additional pullback Pitbull bars would effect on a Ridgeback as opposed to his K9, because he has owned both models.

I have aftermarket bars on my bike with Harley controls, 07 k9, but that's just preference ... like said above.. they make a lot of aftermarket bars that will work..

My thing is I’m a short guy 5’6”-5’7” long time power lifter weigh close to 260 I just want some thing so my reach isn’t as far that excepts harley controls
