Just got my new plate yesterday. I've never been a fan of vanity plates, but I thought "what the heck" when I found out this one was still available. I'm surprised no one had snapped this up yet.

For those that do not know, you can get a vertical plate from Minnesota (for a fee of course) and it is only available in four digits.

Nice. What did you do to get the whole license plate mount vertical? On my 2009 K9 the new style mount can't be converted to vertical. You pick up an old style plate and mount?

I just flipped one. I had to drill new holes in the backer plate. The one I did was already marked where it needed to be drilled.

    Way cool Chateau!

I was going to drill and flip mine with a standard plate on my K9 .......now I see that would really stick out....but my Bulldog has been that way since I moved up here awhile back :nono:

My choice wouldn't fit vertical but imagine my surprize when this was approved! K9 STYL

I just drilled and countersunk it where the holes needed to be to switch it to vertical. They aren't pre-marked like some of the older ones, but with a little common sense, it's pretty easy.

    Good eye! :2thumbs:

It's actually my parents car. I have been a mechanic for 20+ years and the deal I have with them is that I give their car a "once over" when they are out of town for the winter. As you can see, this year was new headlight assemblies, lower control arms, and sway bar bushings.
