    Hey y'all from Nevada!
Hello, I am a motorholic, I do not plan on getting sober any time soon! Got my first taste at a wee age, before I could ride a bicycle and never looked back. I have my ten bike garage filled with crotch rockets, dirt bikes, a Harley Street Glide Special and yes of course, a Big Dog Ridgeback (2004). A little about myself, I have raced off-road, and I have been sponsored since I have been racing. I have been in multiple clubs and held multiple positions and put on many functions and rides. I have and been riding on road since I was licensed at the age of 16. I was a state certified motorcycle instructor, former medic, former firefighter, former LE, retired military, and officiate football, baseball and lacrosse.
I love working on my own bikes when possible, but sometimes they are so fraustrating, like my Dog now just won't start. I have rebuilt the S&S Super G, replaced the fuel lines, new gas, new plugs, new plug wires, new coil (3 ohm, 2 fire, green Harley), and a new seat, new rear tail light and wires (that shorted), new head light (that shorted) and it still won't fire, cranks great, getting fuel, no spark. The thing about my bike is that the previous owner stripped it bare, no turn signals, no horn, no speedo, I can't even find a module. The front brake lever does not have a brake like light switch and not sure if it had one. Completely redone hillbilly style and Big Dog said they would put the bike back to factory condition if I send it there, for about $1000 one way (just shipping).
But with my luck, my bad luck, cause I wouldn't have any other luck there for. A year and half ago, I was rear-end on my brand new RC8 (KTM), only 575 miles and the lady was drunk at 830 am and didn't stop. They did get her but she was underinsured, so I was so screwed. But then two months ago I was rear ended on my Harley and it's still in the shop from that. So yes, I missed this years Street Vibrations.
The one thing, and I'm sure you all can relate, that everywhere or anywhere you are, we all have some amazing places to ride. Here in Nevada, in the Reno area, we have about 9 months of solid riding weather of just about anything you want. Plus we have Street Vibrations, Spring Vibes, 9/11 rallies, and so many other rides.
Well It is great to find a forum to talk to peeps about my rare breed, and I really hope I got this correct?

    Welcome to the site.
I also have a 2004. What ignition system do you have. I replaced mine with one in the nose cone. Also added a relay to supply the 12 volts.
So if the EHC goes bad I can jump the relay and ride it home.

Not exactly sure, the previous owner stripped this bike to bare bones that it pretty much goes from battery to cool to wires to plugs (I think) I must be missing something, right?
