Welcome Aaron! Great intro and good to have ya here!
Not exactly sure, the previous owner stripped this bike to bare bones that it pretty much goes from battery to cool to wires to plugs (I think) I must be missing something, right?
I did my basic at Ft Lost in the Woods. Good to meet ya.
Thank you for the tip.
Thank you very much.
Welcome from Kansas. There are several options to fix your troubles. You can go back original, almost original, or total rewire...again. Just keep reading...
Welcome welcome. I’m from Reno too. Not a lot of dogs here in town.
Anytime you want to bring it by or want a hand working on it let me know I’d be happy to help these guys on here are incredibly helpful anything you’d want to know. That bike looks familiar how long ago did you buy it?
I bought it a few years ago, it was in some rough shape but ran great. Owned by a kid that did not appreciate it at all. I definitely need to just customize it to me now, but the electrical I think needs to get back to oem.
I would think twice before going to oem. You now have a blank page to do whatever. Going oem will not be the cheapest route to go. Do you have Big Dog hand controls or HD style?
I have "no" controls so I guess I can HD and stick with what I know with my Street Glide.
Hit up @bigkelk9 he hard wired his himself ask him what he used and all the details
Cool, I will. Thanks
Tru Dat, maybe these guys that old school wired their bikes can give you the list of parts they used as Dent stated How kool would that be You'll be and running in no time
HD or aftermarket. Also, this would be the time to change the bars if you want to. Then get controls for the diameter bar you choose. You could always go for the clean look and not put controls back on the bars. Get a starter cover that has a start plunger on it, then hide switches somewhere out of the way. That would give you a really clean look.
Welcome to the forum from Kansas- let us know if you need any parts!
Welcome from Colorado
I need a lot of parts, where can I find a website or your price and availability of parts. I tried looking up bigdogpartsking but it brought up a lot of sites.
