Sidewinder?

What does the sidewinder name mean , Looking on S and S site i could not find anything ...I'm wondering because it seems the tag "sidewinder" on the engine is no longer there on 117ci has the motor changed or just the name?

i dont think the motor changed just some of the cases say it and some dont.

my dad and i both have 06 k-9s, mine says sidewinder and his doesn't
