Now my next project is a new set of pipes. they are getting a little blue and need to put baffles in. Way too loud for me ( I wear hearing aids due to being a pilot) so just a little muffled will help...

That is one standout flame bike, and I like the old school new school look. Same question as asked before where did you get the 3m protector?

JR runs a really cool gel p-pad that stays stuck really well.
If the pad and fender are clean, there's no rub.
Personally not a big fan of cups... seems no matter what, something rubs.
    Just my ,02
    Gorgeous paint, really pops.

    Is that permanent?
If it is marred by the pad, can it be removed/replaced?

Hey Kevin, I just bought a 4'x12" roll to do my rear fender. I like to have extra in case I mess it up lol. Anyways, did you lay a fresh coat of wax down before the 3M?

Ok cool. I plan to cover where the single seat cups rest as well. Trying to prevent any further marring.

Exactly what i was thinkimg too. One long piece will be harder to get perfect. Did you use a little heat gun action to shrink it carefully?

I only used heat and very little after it was flat and smooth just to help dry it

There is a place here in Bixby, OK called White Glove. they specialize in clear protective wraps for exotic cars. called them up and found pout that they have the thickest clear wrap \, so I had them do my rear fender and gas tank. they charged be 75 bucks to install it and it was well worth the 75 as this stuff is hard to apply. Heat gun its is not fun on a new paint...
