Headlight ring set screw

Howdy -

Two quick questions:

A) What size is the little tiny set screw that goes into the bottom of the headlight to hold the ring?

and

2) Has anyone ever boogered one up? Did you just drill/retapp the next size up?

I'm going to the next size up. My headlight was painted and they must have put it back together wrong. after some riding, lost the ring and gaskets but bought a replacement kit but the set screw is to small now, which leads me to believe they went with a larger size

Did you booger it up tying to remove it? It's a 6-32 x 1/8" hex

Yep. Over tightened it and stripped it. Just drill and tap it out to a size or two up. Much better now.

Chopper Dave had to do the same thing. It's so small so it's very common.

Yep, mine is bigger than the stock set screw, and I'm sure there are many that way.
