Air Ride on a Mastiff

I got one on my Bulldog too - My view is a little in between Larry's and kickstarts - there is a bit of give in it but its much stiffer than my Heritage - whether how long you keep pumping it when it gets to the top makes a difference in how stiff it is I'm not too sure

its almost worth getting just so that you can lower it when on the stand - looks much better if you're in to that

I rode one with the air ride it is was nice but seem to be a little bit too stiff for longer rides. Based on that and overall happy with my 05 Mastiff ride, I prefer the standard shocks for on the long rides such as 300-500 milers, I rather have the comfort.

not that I've ridden a dog with normal shocks but my guess is that fibre is spot on

I am with you Lee ... I can't believe it buys you anything other than the ability to raise and lower it (guess I'am not part of the cool bike gang). Given the sprung weight is the same (air ride or oil ride) air can compress while oil does not -- be an interesting test. :job:

I chatted with our one dealer in the state today and a lot more with their one v-twin awesome tech, and all say it makes for a far stiffer ride and as I like longer rides, I will keep what I have. I think the ride on my hound is spot on. Thanks for all the replys

Yes it does, but I thought the other shock was to prevent the old school air ride rebound bouncing problem...ya know like a pogostick? I though it was a rebound dampner...could be wrong.
