i have a 01 bigdog mastiff.. the speedo flases from milage to trip back and forth.. the lite also does not work in speedo.. and where can i get the lite for the lic plate? i removed the lic plate cover to find a fuse where a bulb should have been??? so im confused as to what kind of tag lite should be there.. any help???

im would also like to know what is the best batterie to use.. i ride this bike 3 miles .. turn it off and it dont want to turn over to start again.. like the timing is way high

The 2001 Mastiff came with a LED taillight, most likely you need to replace the LED. Use a meter and make sure you don't have a broken wire going back there, if you have power you need to contact a BD dealer to get a replacement LED. Several dealers are on this site to order.

Speedo sounds like a bad connection on the speedo itself, check the plug on the bottom
of the speedo and the circuit board, unplug and clean the contacts.

I'd also suggest you ride the bike more than 3 miles daily if you can. It doesn't have enough time to build back up to a decent charge..Just saying!
