Hey guys Ive got problems with the 2004 Chopper I just bought. Can anyone tell me why my speedometer at about 60-70 will jump up to 100+ then peg out at 120+. Sometimes it will do it and sometimes it wont. Ive got a new battery and I keep it on a tender! Help????

I think the transmission sensor is used for the speed. If it's like my 07 then it should have a open exposed contact connector that can get water in it and corrode. check the wire contacts and the sensor contacts for good connection. Then the sensor may be getting bad or is dirty at the pickup end in the tranny, or the speedo has a problem.
