Help, I replaced the speedometer with a digital one, works great but now i have a lot of vibration at 2000 to 2500 rpm and seems to run hotter, when i kill it, it puffs at the exhaust. I did have the bike flashed before with the old speedometer due to would not register half the time when starting. would this have anything to do with it? by the way, ran great before as i just got back from 1 week bike trip with no issues.

The speedo change won't have any impact on vibration or engine heat. Make sure your TAPPET oil screen is clean in the engine. I also run a half bottle of Lucas oil conditioner at each oil change.

If your battery is getting weak it can cause speedo not to work properly. Always keep the bike on a GOOD float charger when not riding.

Check your upper motor mounts on frame and heads. They loosen and can cause vibration. There are threads here that talk about it and using longer head mount bolts as well.

Might have had trash in the tank. when i reinstalled it i had low gas in the tank, I just filled up and now it seems to be doing better. Think I will install an inline filter as my next additive.
