Which oil weight in the trans?

I've got some Amsoil 20w50 synthetic v-twin oil in my shopping cart and want to order some tranny fluid and do it all at once. I've seen some people say 75w140 and some say 75w90, both Severe Gear. I'm in Chattanooga, TN and most of my riding will be in spring and summer, and some of fall. I doubt I'll be doing much winter riding. Anywho, spring tends to stay around 65 or so most of the day for a few weeks before the insane humidity and heat starts to set in. Summer tends to be about 75 to 80 in the mornings, and around mid 90s the rest of the day. Fall tends to drop down to around 60-70 during the day.

Harley primary oil is good for the primary

Everyone has a preference. I don’t use any synthetic fluids. The manuals for ’94 to ‘04 actually spells that out specifically I do believe. I use Lucas non-synthetic primary oil.

I ended up getting the 75w140. It seemed to be the overwhelming favorite weight for hotter areas like mine.
