Got my starter out, easy. It looked just like the picture Franco sent me, jack shaft broke in half.
After removing the battery I unbolted the the two bolts at the rear of the battery tray.
And the one allen bolt in the front.
Took off the small belt guard attached to the clutch cover and unhooked all electrical connections from the starter, unbolted the allen head bolts that hold the starter.
Unbolted the EHC from the battery box but did not unplug, just to give enough room to lift up the battery tray about a inch and a half.
Then there was plenty of room to lift the starter out.
I will use this opportunity to repack my EHC connection.
