I was gunna post up a big thanks to you.. but ya beat me to it.. I was wanting to remind people what this forum is really about as well. U can grow great friendships here for life! This has been the trio from hell and my problems haven't stopped and we r getting ready to hit the road home.. Keith's ignition went out, my return oil line blew, starter shaft snapped, and now I got no rear brakes... go figure right.. but ill tell ya what, good people are hard to find, met Eric in person a while back and I feel whenever I'm in Dallas we always need to at least have lunch, solid guy.. ur awesome and I owe ya more then u know!Well let me be clear I made Kel do all the work..lol. I just fixed the starter for him.
I got to sit in a chair and watch someone else wrench. Job of supervisor is easy.
I also wanted to post because i thought it was timely to remind everyone what the roots of this forum was designed for!

It was closed, we ended up hitting up some kind of strip full of bars near downtown Dallas or in downtown dallas.. lol.. I really appreciate this more then you know bro! U ever need n e thing and ur in my neck of the woods, lemme know. A bed to sleep, whatever..No problem anytime..we don't have a Harley dealer network to fall back on.
If we aren't there for one another we are up shit creek without a paddle.
Happy to do it and do it again if needed. If I had more time I would have put some new contacts in that starter!
Sorry I didn't come out last night to Strokers how was it last night? Weather was perfect!

The master cylinder has been seeping since the day I bought it.. usually check it every 500 miles or so, didn't check it before I left. Filled it up before we left Dallas and it was just fine when I got home. It'll never leave a drop of fluid on the floor but u can see the seepage where the rod come out.Very weird the brake line rubbed through the braided line. Honestly I would have assumed it would have been the oil way around.
Actually come to think of it that might be your rear brake issue. Those hose clamps may have rubbed through your brake line too. Check that first before you replace the master cylinder.

We stopped every 100 miles to refuel a our bikes and us lol, and it was well above the line on my dipstick. If he runs it that low on the highway he might want to keep an eye on his oil lines. Mine is real close when I dump the air.
Starter should last you the season but eventually it will need to be fully rebuilt. We just slapped in jackshaft. She made it a total of 748 miles.. so thank you Eric for helping with the last 400ish.. lol.. u are a man of scholar!
Oh yeah no doubt.. it's his release valve.. he wouldn't listen to me when I told him to leave it alone and just add air when needed, he airs it down after riding every time and u gotta think that can't be good. That one ring has to reset itself everytime do that. So he was able to air up quite a bit to where his bike sat as high as mine for the ride home.I'm talking about the frame bottoming out on his oil lines with no air in the air ride system. I cut a oil line on mine when the air leaked out of the air ride system. for some reason the fittings always seem to leak a little. You can tighten them up and test with soapy water and think it's ok. ?After a while it works loose enough to start bubbling.
