While N8KAM (John) was studying the instructions and setting up for the big job. We changed all Dave's fluids. I just had to take this picture of the HD oil filter drain pan being used... it was out of the box. I thought it was funny
Tear into it...
Remove the old
While John and crew was doing the wire plus, I was working on the sportster style key install. Drilled and tapped the two set screw holes, then installed the switch
Remounting the coil required the dremel to oblong out one of the mounting holes and shaving a little of the bottom side. Tight fit with the new key switch.
The boys got the wire plus modules mounted and started the process of wiring
This is a long and drawn out, time consuming processes. My hat's off to John. He was a MACHINE!!!
Not only was he testing wires constantly, but instead of relying on the crimp style of these pin connecting harnesses. He soldiered each and every wire.
My niece was over with her dad "Nasty Nate". She provided some mid-day entertainment for us.
Using my retractable extension cord as a jump rope for daddy. LOL
Next thing you know... John has the old EHC craptastic connectors disconnected and GONE!
Buttoned up in the battery tray... finish up the wiring for the key switch
Wire fished from backbone to wire plus
Ran the new 30 amp maxi fuse in place of the circuit breaker and with that connected we hooked up the last wires to the battery
Tested the wiring job... I think John was nervous and Dave was completely confused! LOL

Trainguy (DJ) installed a new set of huge taylor wires and we got the gas tank re-installed.
Honestly, we couldn't have done this with out N8KAM (John). He was a freakin machine!!! He drove this wiring job. It may have been my "sponsored" event but John was the knocking out champ.
Later Dave & I installed a lowdownchopshop.com HID in his stock bdm housing. This is one of the few ever done with the adjure lamp. Take a peek.
It was a LONG LONG day. We experienced "custom doesn't bolt on" all day. But we got through it all. But it's done and I want to thank everybody for helping, stopping by, drinking in the garage and just being there.
Chopper Dave
N8KAM (John)
Caveman (Sean)
Trainguy (DJ)
Pig Pen (John)
Chef (Doug G)
Nasty (Nate)
T-Mack (Rich)
rugby (Lance)
And finally... Big Al looking down on us. We shared many stories about good ole Al. Man did we miss him!
