I have an 04 Chopper (107) that needs some help. 10,000 miles on it and needs new bearings (neck and rear wheels), polishing, paint (all the tins), master cylinders rebuilt, and maybe an engine upgrade from a 107 to 117 - EFI is possible. I am in Florida - South Florida, near Palm Beach. I want someone that is experienced that knows the bike. Any suggestions for a builder/shop would help.
Thanks

Welcome from Tennessee....what is the reason you want to swap motors and go to 117?...107 is a great motor...I mean you can put a 117 on it, its your bike, but the EFI set up going to cost some $$$$ to do, alot of $$$$ actually.

If it was me I would just repaint it the way you want it and go thru bike to make sure what you have is in good shape and ride the hell out of it.

Everyone has there preferences on bike lift but I like the Aplus lifts...you can get one around 1500.00 but that includes the side extension so you can put lawnmower, golf cart etc on it.. I have 2 of them and really pleased with them after I made the modifications that needed to be done to make it rock solid

Personally I get the convert to EFI choice, converting to a 117 not so much. The 107 is from what I have seen and read as or better motor than the 117 is.
If you go EFI, I'd persaonnly look into Daytona Twin Tec's options.
I've used their carb stuff on older bikes and was very pleased and I like what I have researched about te efi (what if planning since the EFI for my 08 is now very very hard to find -- and expensive)

From my understanding to 117 came about due to new emission regulations .
Reduced compression which the cu in were bumped to offset some of the power loss .

I don't know as 117 years use progressed if performance was upgraded . I belive it was .

Word is the 107 is smoothest one at cruising speeds . Stroke vs bore math.
