Chris....I will talk with Joe at Full Throttle tomorrow and see what he says about them.....My dealer says he's ordered 10 new speedo setups and will be installing them on BDs as a service bullitin.
Anybody else want to confirm this?
No, I'm on my seventh I think! But due to DOT requirements the mileage must be taken when the speedo is ordered. Over the course of my seven speedo's I've lost a few thousand miles due to the time it took to get them back from BDM. Sometimes they would come back in a day or two but other times they would take weeks and I would be racking up the miles in the mean time. So, my current 35,000+ reading is a lot less than actual miles.I was under the impression that if your going to have a speedo replaced under warranty / service bulletin, the shop needs to take the milage reading, order the new speedo and then the bike has to stay at the shop until the new one arrives with the exact milage programmed in. Basically to ensure the milage is true and accurate.
Anybody shed some light on this???
