I bought 08 Mastiff...speedometer dosen't work.so i guess trip meter or odometer doesn't either.

When key turns on , 49438 shows up on speedometer, then 10296 light up. What is true odometer reading?

The 10,296 is your mileage, the 49438 is the calibration numbers

Also there is bad vibration, so checked engine bolts aka mounts.
And the steering feels tight awkward

I had a 07 Mastiff, carburetor, was hreat bike. Put 42000 on it. Had back surgery, sold it. But it never vibrated this bad or steer this stiff.
So now bought 08 fuel injected, which seams to idle high.
I appreciate all this info

Welcome. My 06 Mastiff feels heavy also on the front end. I think its the way its made? Also it has a fatter front tire on it which may add to the feel of it. Not sure of the tire size but its fatter than lets say a chopper.

previous owner must have been planning on doing some off-roading. kinda like franco.
