when i hit start it motor will crank but wont start. checked plug to see if there was spark to head bolts. no spark so i replaced the coil and no luck. the plug wires are good, and i feel compression coming out where plug is but no spark still. battery showing good charge so i took it to the shop and they seem to think its the ehc any other ideas than ehc?

Have you trouble-shot the ignition signal to the coil? (Gettting a flickering of the red LED on the ignition module when she turns over)

I don't think the 03 EHC controls any of the ignition except the switches, turn signals, horn, run stop, speedo power on and off.

EHC ground?

I experienced the same with my 03 chopper. Engine cranks but won't fire. If it hasn't been done, the EHC needs to be ground to the battery. For whatever reason, the system works and then one day it requires the ground wire. Good news is you can do it for <$1. I'm at work and forget all the exact details. Shoot me an email and I can email you a pic of my ground wire tonight. Good luck. almccoy1@alltel.net

Couldn't it be a crank sensor too?

I wish I could find the link to Sul's starting tips... I got the print but can't find the link
