03 chopper starting problems

My 03 chopper will hardly crank over when cold. Battery cables and starter get smoke'n hot. Drag Specialties 310CCA battery checks out good. Once I get bike started and warmed up, it will start but seems to take everything it has. Battery??? Starter???? Please help with this headache.

Hundreds of posts here on this same subject. Loose cables connections, weak battery, opening the throttle when cranking and other things make it hard to start these big engines.
Best thing for you to do is like I and many others have done with the 03's is put in CR's. Your wiring harness is already wired for them. You will need an 02 starter relay to go with them.
