05 chopper RSD transmission seal

I have an 05 Big Dog Chopper that I am working on changing the transmission seal located behind the clutch basket in the primary. I need to know if I have to pull the inner primary to get the old one out. I would like to have a plan of action before I start working on it. Thanx Tony

No. just run a sheet metal screw in it, but not to far, and pull it out with a pair of pliers.

Word of caution. Check your mainshaft for any play.

If there is any, the bearings are bad. Seals often leak because the shaft is moving around too much and wears them out.

Checked and no play in shaft.
