I have a 2009 wolf also with 715 miles on it. I am suffering from a wolf that idles and runs fine, however the engine light just came on and it consistatly is now showing low rpms but the actual rpms on the speedo never go below 925. I also started the bike a few times and the engine light was out. I tried to rev the engine to 1500 rpms, holding it there, and the low rpm signal is still coming on after 15 seconds.

One of the things I read in the service manual was that the rpms need to be below 900 for 5 seconds in order for the low rpm signal to even show up. That has never happened yet, and not for 5 seconds but I receive the same messages.

If anyone has any intel please let me know.

I keep my RPM on the digital display and some time it says too low RPM at idle even I'm above 1000. Sometime it does it even when I release the throttle to change gears I think it the way it works the engine never got lower than 900-950 RPM. It did it since day one it doesn't bother me at all.

Thanks for the reply. The bike has shown the low rpm indicator since i bought it when at idle as explained in the fist post. However the new development is the engine light combined with the low rpm signal whie at higher rpms. I was wondering if these two items could be connected or if the tac sensor could be the problem.
