107 pumping oil from crankcase

It's best to do an introduction first.

Your bike is 'wet sumping'. This is common for a 107 that's been sitting for a while. Oil gets by the check ball in the oil pump and goes into the case.
Most guys run their breather line under the bike so the carb doesn't get splooged.

There is, alas, a downside to old school reliability and simplicity. I have not asked the originators of the Evo technology about their anticipation of long term inactive storage but I have quite a bit of experience enjoying the reliability of it in some very remote explorations.

Your funny comment made me think a second and actually they addressed it with the Twin Cam and they reversed the oil feed. Instead of evo going straight from tank - engine - filter they made it tank - filter - engine.

Wheels have a special shape for a reason, they are meant to go round and round, if you don't use your bike for what it is purpose built for it will start crying oil into the bottom end and the only one to blame is the guy in the mirror. Don't neglect your bike and it won't let you down.

Hey Ted, it doesn't look like you got a direct answer to your situation. Yes the oil is coming from the engine because it has sumped. If the hose is still coming off the back side of the crankcase and running up to your air filter, remove it from the air filter and point it down under the bike into a pan. Start the engine and let it idle until most of the oil is out. This is going to look like a lot of oil but it really isn't. At most it's probably going to be a quarter of a quart.
Then go ahead and change the oil and filter and put three quarts back in it. I discussed this with s&s and they said that that hose can be removed from the back of the crankcase and that hole plugged off. As long as the air filter you're running on that bike is utilizing the breather holes in the top of the head. Post picture of the air filter so we can make sure that you are running a correct one.

There is this pressure above the oil in the bag called The 1 ATMO. Place about 14 and a half pounds of weight on your big toe. As the jam moves out of the nail, there is this same movement at the oil pump blades, where oil can squeeze past those blades, can push 14 pounds if not override that level of the next channel with ball and spring, or can self thin itself out to a millionth of an inch, find that path per the ATMO pushing on that bag, add years sitting and eventually that oil now lands in the crankcase.

This is common for a 'dry sump' designed with bag; is one example of this style setup. It will happen to not only a 107, this 1320cc, that cone style, keep going, it's normal for ATMO to act this way towards the V style engine family with same old oil pump design, etc.

Because it sat, this is what happens years down the road and oil left in the bag. But if you drained all the gas out of the carb and left the drain screw open so it dries out completely, drained the bag empty if it's going to sit, too late now, but say for next time?
