Not sure if the speedo still works but the odometer started flickering and is mostly gone. Is there a replacement speedo that works with the stock location? Mine is in the panel on top of the tank, I'm fine with analog too.

Before you give up on you're speedometer go to the top of the transmission from the right hand side. There is a small hump looking thing there. That is you're speedometer pick up or sending unit. Carefully remove it. They are magnetic and collect all the fine metal shavings from the transmission. Clean all the metal shavings off and take a test drive.

I hope that helps. Good luck. If you decide to go with a new speedometer I might be interested in you're old one.

I haven't ridden it yet, not sure yet if the speedo itself works but the odometer part is now blank.

Take the speedometer out and look at the circuit board on the backside. They get some corrosion from condensation over time. Scrub the contacts on the back and clean them up and plug it back in and see if that fixes the issue.

Is this where the corrosion builds up or inside the actual speedo itself?
Yep, see all that brown rust crap? That shouldn't be there. A light wet sand paper should knock it off, 1000 grit or a wire brush should work.

It's not as bad as some I've seen but it's enough to cause issues as the rust is actually making contacting on multiple circuits that aren't supposed to be. Hopefully cleaning it off works for you, got nothing to lose at least. Keep us posted!

Once you clean it and test it, if you want to help prevent it get some conformal coating to put on there. It was applied originally, I can still see it in a few spots, just doesn't last forever.

I have a 2002 bd mastiff and the cod speedo has “Pulse, Adjust, Auot CL” how do I clear that up?
