2003 bdm chopper speedo

Well I bought a chopper a few weeks ago and on a recent ride the speedo quit working. It will flicker at times when the key is turned to the on position before its started but then nothing. Lights work but nothing else.

Any ideas?

Its broke.......hit the search button above and write speddo in it and you will find many posts about the famous speedos

With them going out of business can I still get factory replacement parts? I am typically very good with the search function but due to using the net on my phone its not very easy.

do not opt for the original replacement as sooner or later that one will fail...you have 2 options a Dakota Digital that many on here seem to love sold by one of our members or through BDM Performance parts they have an updated brand new version speedo I believe made from Medallion.....

This unit will work as long as you have the Bar mounted speedometer and not the tank mount.
It's also about $150 less than the BD model.
