No spark and no LED's on EHC or Thunder Heart Module. Also no headlite with key on. been acting up lately. Finally Died. I'm new on this site and posted problem on the intro forum. Also does any one know how to tell if the bike is a Day-tec or Rolling Thunder frame. also bike says 107 on motor cover but frame vin sticker says 1996cc. I believe that would be 117. Any ideas?

For about a year the bike would stall after a hot soak. ie fueling or chatting. it would start and stall about a block away. then it would not even fire when hot, a 15 min cool down and away i would go. I notice that the red LED on the EHC would not light when problem occurred Also the red LED on the thunder heart module would not blink. Now it is completely dead. I did notice the headlight doesn't light with key on. I believe this is controlled by EHC. I check continuity of ignition switch and powers and grounds

there are green connector plugs in different places on my 03 Chopper. Had some of the same issues and figured out I had a pin on one of the plugs break off and was making erratic connection and creating issues. ended up dead at an intersection and was chasing wiring when I found the plug by flicking it. It was between my ignition and where the wiring entered the frame.

If your bike is that dead did you check to see if the EHC is getting power from the battery at A-3 and ground on A-4 on the power harness connector?

Look at the top motor mount on the carb side. I will have a "Maple Leaf" on it if its the RT frame. Daytec is easy to spot also as the front motor mount is an aluminum piece that attaches the motor to the frame.

As for the motor it should have 117 stamped on the cam cover and coil cover. If you have a 107 motor around to compare you can really tell the difference by the jugs. The 117 are larger and more round.

I have good power and ground to the ehc. I also checked ignition switch power to the ehc. how dow you check the cam sensor. is this wired to the ehc or the ignition module.

May I ask how you checked for power and ground? Because if you have good inputs (12V at A-3 and ground at A-4) at the EHC but no outputs it sounds like your EHC has kicked the bucket. :(

It doesn't make any difference what the cam sensor is doing if this is the case....

i found a wiring diagraphm on this site and check with voltmeter. I also checked continuity of the micro switches such as the run/stop button and high low beam. and also ignition switch. Ign is low voltage circut. checked the main heavy gauge power wire and grounds directly connected to battery.

Well got my new EHC today and installed it. It was an upgraded version with a usb cable end. It also had an adaptor board two plugs to my One. Runs great and I'm back in the wind. I bought it on E- Bay for 425.00 . I hope it lasts. I thought about the wire-plus change over but didn't really want to put the sporty switch in and some of the other mods. Hope I'm not sorry.
