Loosen your slack adjuster completely.
Remove the clutch cable mounts from the frame.
Remove the clutch retainer at the control. 2 small screws under the control and a guillotine slides out releasing the clutch cable.
Remove the mirror and mirror bolt.
Use a small punch and tap the clutch handle pin out of the control.
Pull the handle out and remove the pin.
Slide the cable out of the control unit.
Pull the cable away from the frame.
Remove your exhaust pipes if neccessary to get the pulle cover off.
Remove your clutch actuator/pulley cover. Will come out with a long rod attached.
Remove the actuator cover on the back of the clutch actuator/pulley cover.
There are three large ball bearings between the inner and outer ball ramps, don't loose them.
Push the cable in from the control end to release the cable ferrel end from the ball ferrel in the inner ball ramp.
Remove the ball ferrel from the cable.
Unscrew the cable from the actuator/pulley cover.
Clean everything thoroughly.
Lubricate your new cable properly before installing it.
Screw the new cable into the actuator/pulley cover. Make sure the o-ring is on the threaded area of the cable you are screwing in.
Assemble the barrel ferrel etc in reverse of dissassembly using ample high quality grease.
If the actuator wiper seal is loose, dried out or won't stay in the cover then replace it.
Run the cable back along the frame as it was before installing the cable clamps as you go.
Lubricate the control unit moving parts with a good quality lubricant.
Assemble the control in reverse of dissassembly.
Unscrew the small center cover from the clutch actuator/pulley cover.
Loosen the clutch adjustment nut.
Turn the inner hex in, clockwise, until you feel the actuator rod seat against the throw out bearing.
Now turn the inner hex back out, counter-clockwise, 1/4 turn.
Holding the hex in place tighten the lock nut.
Install the cover and put your pipes back on.
I think thats everything.
Be ready for any number of possible issues that may come up.
