if needed, the bike had 700 miles and its time for her first oil changes...

thanks

No need for the primary or tranny yet. there are numerous threads on oil and capacities. Not familiar with the 121 X- Wedge

thank you however the manual that came with the bike says to change all oils after the first 500 miles but doesn't specify the oil to use

20W 50 in the primary (Don’t use synthetic) Synthetic can cause clutch slippage...
75W 140 in the Trans (Baker suggest Spectro) others have used different brands. Spectro is a bit spendy...

I'm using Mobile 1 in the engine, non synthetic for the primary, and Redline Heavy Shockproof in the tranny for my 2009 Wolf. The owners manual suggests the oil in the primary and transmission be changed @ 500 miles.

Oh boy we can go all day doing this. You can get 100 different combos. Do a search on oil or fluid change. I personally have had Amsoil 20w-50 in the motor and currently have the Mobil 1 20w-50 v- twin in the engine because of its availbility. Make sure you use the one specific for v-twin. In the trans I use the spectro 75w-140 (once again baker recommends it). In the primary I use bel ray primary fluid. IMO you should stick with a fluid specific for the primary. In the past I used the Ford ATF that so many recommended here but my clutch kept slipping. Not rocket science once you do it once. Check gasmans How to service your Big dog dated 4/07 and you'll pick up a few more tips. I follow it every time. Nothing more gratifying that working on your own scoot. Plus you save money. Just my .02......Good luck.:2thumbs:
