Advice for for struts and sissy bar for 06 k9

Ive searched the forum and have not found exactly what I'm looking for. I have an 06 K9 and I have ordered the 18" sissy bar and struts that should be in tomorrow. Any advice that will help me with the install and/or keep me from launching tools? All replies will be appreciated.

I guess this post got overlooked but my advice is to try and find a LED connector tool. Pulling the wires out of the tail light to put in the new struts is a major pain in the ass. Took me days to figure out how they came out, but once I got it, it was easy.
