Mine doesn't have the same hose but I seem to remember reading that it should really be run to a puke can and that you can just plug the front vent. Search the How-To section and you'll find it there somewhere! Welcome to the pound.

I just went to Orielly and picked up a $10 breather filter. It sits just above my carb. I was told it would leak shit on to my carb, but after 1000 miles, no worries. My bro's dog was done by a dealer and they ran a hose down between the motor and tranny and put a breather filter on the end.

Would look better to run down between engine and trans with a breather type filter. You can not just cap it off!!! Also do not reverse the check valve or it will be just like capping it off :hi:

I never understood the point of putting a filter on there. As far as I know the rear hose only blows so why do you need a filter? Just run it to the ground

just to keep it from making a mess on the rear wheel/rear brake and to keep it off the highway and causing the next biker to crash. :bang::cheers:

we picked up a small custom breather at the local auto parts stores, discount, pep boys or the like in their aftermrket dept. they are small, fit the hose and come in chrome.

makes sense but then surely a puke can is the best bet. Enough oil will soak right through a filter. I also remember John Sachs saying to NOT put a filter on it. Not sure why though.

I wish I had more money.
Just a little can or jar or catch on the end of the vent line to catch the oil coming out so'is that the oil dosn't hit the ground or your bike.
