Aluminum cleaner and brightener

Has anyone used this. Does it work or something else better? I was thinking for the motor. Fins on the jugs mostly. On Amazon by quality cleaner. Can’t get the link to work

What's the name on the label? there are a bunch of cleaner/brighteners around. liquid or paste consistency? container size? I've used a few different things on different types of aluminum with different results.

Alumanew by quality chemical on Amazon. It comes in a 1 gallon liquid

My luck it will just F up the other metal. Just wanted to get the crud out of the fins and if it polished it some that would be good. Idk

Take a red scotch pad first it fits nicely. Then polish. If it is real crudy

Liferider has a post from back a couple years.. Modify a electric carving knife, (cut most of the knife off) attach pieces from paint stir sticks . IIRC wrap with scotch bright . And go after it. I also seen a video from a guy that modified a multi cutter blade and attached pieces of bondo spatulas to do essentially the same thing. He had a few different shapes made for specific areas... like around the spark plug area.

I like the way Mothers Ultimate Mag & Aluminum polish turns out. Anyway you do it is tedious but a labor of love. I spent many hours on my jugs. I think Harry has a good idea I used a Dremel tool and any polishing attachments and wheels I could get in the grooves.

I made one of those cleaning devices exactly as Jonathon described. Works pretty dang good actually. I did use my dremel also for the hard to get in spots. But the fishing knife worked great on the fins.
