Backfire & Missing

I bought a brand new 06 K9 last year, put pipes and rejetted six months ago. She was running fine until a few weeks back, it will backfire only once at
startup then has a miss or skip while riding, any ideas?

Clean Air Breather?

If so, then warm engine to "normal" operating temp. and adjust carb.

Hey guys, same problem, I have an 08 pitbull that backfires on the highway and coughs on decal. I have the Vance and Hines pipes. I was thinking about rejetting since I don't know what jets are on the bike anyways because I bought it used. I have searched for a thread to rejet the bike with pictures but can't find one. Can anyone recommend one?

you can go to s/s webb site and get the instructions on how to jet and adjust your carb

could be your sark plug wires - my bike developed a problem last week - I pulled the wires and on the rear cylinder wire the metal thingy that hooks up to the coil had corroded and broken into two pieces

Tighten up your pipes. They are leaking (really sucking) in fresh air. Make sure they are tight and check your intake seals also.
