Thought we could do a "best of 2011" after watching all the channels doing it.
Bigdogbiker is over 7000 members now with a great showing of new members this year.

Great Picture Raywood. I didn't do much the past year except work my ass off and finish up the wife's Trike. This used to be a 2009 883 Sporty, I changed it over to a 1200, put on a 2006 mastiff front end on a 14 degree chopper kit. Had to work some miracle's with the brakes and cutting the body to fit the Kit I received. But I like the way it came out and she loves it.

I've owned my Dog for almost exactly one month now. So my 2011 experiences are tightly packed into those 30 days. ...and there is already a list.

First, the weather. For the last two years the weather in December has been terrible. I was prepared to pick up my bike only to see it sit in the garage. But it's been beautiful the whole time. I can't remember missing a day yet. It's been one endless joyride from day one.

Next would be getting it to fit me. By adding the foot control extensions and changing out the bars, it fits like a glove now. 1400 miles on it already with a couple of 150mi plus days, and the ride rocks.

Next, realizing I bought a great scoot! I'm a metric guy. Only after buying the thing did I realize the quality in the fit, finish, and build of this chopper. So clutch baskets, ECH's, and whatever chronic issues some will point to, overall, I am totally impressed with the detail in this bike!

Looks, though I'm a little concerned. So many people have commented "you're really going to pick up the babes with that thing!" Really? I can only hope. But so far its the guys who are falling out the driver door window of their pickups to tell me what a great looking scoot I have. WTF??? The girls are too busy texting to notice.

Last, finding this forum. If there is a place where dogs are appreciated, it's here. Great people who are always ready to share in the pleasures of owning a dog... Too cool.

Hmmmm, let's see...Alot's happened on this forum this year. But I'd have to say the coolest was Knot's fundraiser for Biker Babe. That was pretty damn cool, as was her response. Buncha great guys (and gals) here!

I did a lot of great rides with great friends in great california weather for 2011 .... but hands down, the best "Big Dog" 2011 experience would be and upgrade from a "Pit Bull" to a "K-9" :up:

Dozer1, that is so sweet! Funny how my first surgery turned out to be the nicest thing that has ever happend to me! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Time really flies and actually that surgery was the summer of 2010. I'm glad you brought it up because it sure is a great reminder about how awesome Big Dog Biker is!! :2thumbs:

Now for 2011...no 'Best of' experience with my 'Big Dog'...but my Fatboy got first place in a Spring Bike Show! Always a surprise! :lol:



This year was my first full year that Biker Babe Bling has been in business so the year's highlight for me was getting to do shows and meeting some awesome Big Dog Bikers. Always a treat! Thank you all for your love and support. Would love to meet more of you in the new year!










Great thread Raywood, and a special thanks to you for giving me a hand at some of my shows. Couldn't have done it without you.

Get ready 2012...here we come! May this upcoming year be the best one yet!
Just looking at these pics makes me excited to hit the road!

"Best of" this year for me was July 23rd when I got my K9,and every day since that I was able to ride it

2011 was a awsome year for me. Finishing my bike in September just in time
to enter it in the local bike show at the Catskill Mtn.Thunder rally was unbeleivable.
The last few days were very hectic,I really didn't think I'd make it.Winning first place Chopper topped it off.
Hope to get more miles on the bike in the Spring and maybe a ride with other
BDB members in the Northeast.

My favorite ride was BBBQ in Fayetteville Ar. Got to go on the bigdog ride Mastiffdave and Blackbetty put on and got to meet a lot of folks. 1200 miles in 4 days.




Biggest problem this year was my rear tire. 3 rear tires this year. Hope the Metzler solves the problem




And I hope this turns out to be my best upgrade of 2012

well, i made no major mod to the bike this year.. but wanna share some pics.
one thing was that Raywood come visit us, it was cold weather and no much riding, but it was fun. i miss ya brother!!!
