So, this topic has surfaced again recently, let's gauge the level of interest. I'm putting up a poll and we'll go from here. I just sent off an email to the mint that produced them for us last time, once I get word I'll pass along the cost to everyone.

The coins will be the same as last time, in the shape of a dog tag with a built in bottle opener. I know most challenge coins are round, with a few exceptions like ours... you'll love this heavy hunk of metal, especially when you have one at the bar, and someone else doesn't... just be sure to be the fastest to get the coin out and on the table/bar.

Tim, since some of us have no reason to buy another of what we already have... what do you think about making a small change in the coins such as adding something to the effect "BDM RIP 2011" and/or a color change? That would distinguish the original version from the newer version since the year they were minted is on neither...

Dennis

PS Could the opener be changed to the twist off type since there are almost no pop top bottle caps left? Just a thought... :D

I would like to keep the old design, it will open a twist top but the twist opener won't open a pop top.
Don't care either way about a color change.

The color maybe doable but changing anything else isn't without a very large fee. These are struck like coins and I had to pay for two dies to be made so to make any changes would result in new dies being created.

That being said, the color is a good ideal. I'll inquire about it. Thanks for the input and idea.
