Big Dog Speedo Bracket

I have replaced at least 5 speedo brackets over a period of 4 years. It seams that the aluminum bracket can't hold up to the vibration and then cracks along the bend just above where the mounting screws attach. The bracket is located inside the speedometer housing. My question is, do any other owners have the same problem and if so, what did you do to correct it? I have a feeling it is the material being made from aluminum and can not handle the vibration. Tape to hold the speedo unit is not very good looking for a 40 thousand dollar bike.(lol)

Between my 2 K-9's and over 120K miles I have not had to replace a speedo bracket due to breakage yet.

80k on my 2005 Ridgeback, 39k on my K9....never replaced one....

Maybe new handlebar bushings would remove some vibration? Dynabeads in the tires will help with vibration? Just thinking outloud......
